Creatives On Shift: The Reality of Making it Work
The Brief: A university project allowing us to make anything, I chose to create a multimedia piece exploring the reality of creatives, such as singers and DJs, working in hospitality. The focus is on understanding why they take these jobs, how hospitality supports their creative practices, and whether it truly helps them sustain their artistic journeys.
The Outcome: A uplifting video showcasing local talent from Brighton, where these creatives speak candidly about their experiences and how working in hospitality has positively influenced their art and livelihoods. Rather than portraying this experience as a struggle or a setback, the project aims to present a more uplifting and empowering narrative.
Mental Health United Promotional Video
The Brief: Create a promotional video for Mental Health United, a Brighton & Hove based charity breaking the stigma around mental health in football. The aim was to showcase the welcoming, pressure-free sessions and highlight the positive impact the club has had on its players.
The Outcome: A warm, uplifting video that captures the spirit of the community, featuring real participants and their stories. The final piece promotes the sessions authentically while celebrating the club’s transformative impact.
